Wig grants in Denmark – municipal support and hospital vouchers

Eligibility depends on your situation, including whether the hair loss is permanent or temporary and which authority handles your case. Your municipality or hospital—not the wig retailer—determines eligibility and the amount of support.
Municipal grants for wigs in cases of permanent hair loss
For permanent hair loss, including certain cases of alopecia, you may be able to apply to your municipality for assistive-device support. Each application is assessed individually. As a general rule, apply and receive a decision before buying or ordering a wig if you intend to seek support.

Wig support during cancer treatment and temporary hair loss
If you experience temporary hair loss during cancer treatment, financial support for a wig may be part of your hospital treatment pathway. Ask your treating department about its procedure. Some departments use vouchers or requisitions; others arrange payment differently.

Which wig can I choose?
We offer both 5x5 Alopecia Cap wigs and 13x6 Lace Front wigs made from human hair. Our 5x5 models feature silicone strips along the sides, which may provide additional grip and comfort, especially for people with little or no natural hair. The 13x6 models have a larger lace area at the front and offer flexible styling options. Both can be worn with or without hair loss.
