Har du alopecia?

Alopecia kan ramme både mænd og kvinder. For mange viser de første tegn sig omkring 18-års alderen, men det kan også starte flere år tidligere. Alopecia skyldes en autoimmun hudsygdom, hvor kroppens eget immunforsvar angriber hårsækkene. Det betyder, at hårets naturlige vækstcyklus stopper, og håret begynder at falde ud – ofte pletvis, men hos nogle udvikler det sig over tid til totalt hårtab.

Forskellige former for alopecia

Der findes flere varianter af alopecia:

  • Alopecia Areata – pletvist hårtab, den mest udbredte form. Omfanget og udviklingen varierer fra person til person.
  • Alopecia Totalis – totalt hårtab på hovedet.
  • Alopecia Universalis – hårtab på hele kroppen.

Da sygdommen udvikler sig forskelligt hos den enkelte, kan man ikke på forhånd forudsige forløbet.

Kan jeg få tilskud?

Ja, hvis du er ramt af alopecia, kan du ansøge din kommune om tilskud til:

  • Parykker
  • Øjenvipper
  • Permanent makeup

Kommunen vurderer din sag individuelt. Når du får bevillingen, har du frit valg af leverandør og kan bruge dit tilskud hos os.

  • I nogle tilfælde dækker kommunen hele beløbet.
  • Hvis bevillingen ikke dækker den ønskede paryk fuldt ud, kan du kombinere tilskuddet med egenbetaling.

Do you have alopecia?

Alopecia can affect both men and women, and for many the first signs appear around the age of 18. But it can also start many years before. The condition is caused by an autoimmune disease, where the body’s immune system attacks the hair follicles. This disrupts the natural growth cycle, causing the hair to fall out – often in patches, and for some, leading to complete hair loss over time.

Types of Alopecia

There are several forms of alopecia:

  • Alopecia Areata – patchy hair loss, the most common form. The severity and development vary for each individual.
  • Alopecia Totalis – complete loss of hair on the scalp.
  • Alopecia Universalis – complete loss of hair on the entire body.

Since the condition progresses differently from person to person, it is not possible to predict how it will develop.

Can I get financial support?

Yes. If you are affected by alopecia, you can apply to your municipality for a subsidy to cover:

  • Wigs
  • Eyelashes
  • Permanent make-up

Your case will be assessed individually. Once granted, you are free to choose your wig supplier and use the subsidy with us.

  • In some cases, the full cost is covered.
  • If your grant does not fully cover your chosen wig, you can use the subsidy and add the remaining amount yourself.
